Capitalising on the early bite was event winner, Greg Flett weighing his bag of 2 fish for 2.16 kg by around 8.30am & hoping it would be enough to hold on. Flett fished within 500 m of the start to accrue his fish concentrating on suspended fish with soft plastics, included in his bag was the big bass of 1.13 kg.
Second place was David Mann with 2/2 for 1.66 kg. David used a totally different approach, targeting fish from the weed beds with Jackall TN50’s.
Rounding out the top 3 was Wayne Beazley, fishing a point in the main basin for suspended fish bringing in 2/2 for 1.66 kg.
